Please see photos of the Apple House below.
The following are comments of our guests over the years.
Just a little
note to tell you how beautiful the Applehouse was. This was the most relaxing
trip we as a family have ever taken together. the broad river that runs in the
back of the house was very relaxing. We are now planning a return visit for
october

We have a wonderful
time at the cabins! The trout were biting morning, afternoon and at dusk. It
was easy sleeping with the rushing water in the background.
We can imagine this would be just as much fun in autumn, winter and spring.
And, the cabin was tidy and convenient. Please give out best to Jill, who made
sure everything was in order for the whole trip, and who was a real joy just to
chat with.

I just wanted to let you know what a fantastic time we had
during our stay in your .. cabin. We couldn't have
been more pleased with our accommodations and the helpful
assistance Jill provided to us..... ..
Again, thank you for affording my family the opportunity to
create everlasting memories of our stay in Hickory Nut Gorge.

Just wanted to let you know that my father and
I had the best time ever in NC at you cabin. The river supplied us with fresh
fish two nights and it was completely relaxing. We needed that break and
solitude. Your manager Jill, was more than accomodating to us during our stay
and was so courteous also.

I just wanted to
let you know how very much we enjoyed our time at your Cabin. Dante and I
consider this one of our all time favorite vacations. For me personally, I have never come back to the
work so rested and renewed...

All of our cabins are just a cast away from the Rocky Broad River, which is
stocked weekly with brown and rainbow trout by the state hatchery
from April through Sept.
The cabin is located just 2 miles from the entrance to Chimney Rock Park
and 3 miles from the public beach at Lake Lure.
Our Vacation Cabins are one of the few rentals that are right on the
river, directly accessible to fishing and swimming, and affordable (compare us
to some of the places on Lake Lure). Nestled in the western North Carolina
mountains, in the cozy community of Hickory Nut Gorge, we delight in
seeing the wonderful experiences of our guests. Just sitting on the sun
porch and enjoying the view of the river, reading a book, can be a very soothing
experience. You'll leave refreshed, and wanting to return as soon as you can.
If you want more excitement, we're very convenient to rock climbing and hiking
at Chimney Rock Park, go horseback riding nearby, or go and enjoy a tour of the
Biltmore House, just a convenient drive away. A little further and you can also
be white water rafting on the French Broad River, not too far from Asheville.
